Petersfield and Horndean Surgeries
Our friendly, experienced reception staff are always on hand to welcome you and answer any queries you may have. They also arrange appointments and collection of medication and prescription diets.
Both surgeries have 2 air-conditioned, computerised, fully equipped consulting rooms. In addition we have a third consulting room at Petersfield which is used for nurse clinics and particularly busy times of the day.
Our laboratory facilities allow immediate analysis of the majority of blood and urine samples but external specialist laboratories are used for histology, cytology, bacteriology and more specialised blood analysis.
Surgical and dental procedures are carried out at both surgeries. Surgical cases that are likely to require hospitalisation are seen and performed at our Petersfield surgery where we have separate air-conditioned wards for dogs and cats as well as a dedicated isolation ward.
Our air-conditioned operating theatres are equipped so that two procedures can be carried out simultaneously. All anaesthetics are closely monitored by our nurses with the aid of pulse oximetry and capnography.
Dental procedures are carried out in our “prep” rooms on purpose built dental tub tables using ultra-sonic scaling machines and air driven polishing units.
We have digital X-ray facilities at both surgeries. At Petersfield we also perform ultrasonography and endoscopy. These facilitate non-invasive investigation of many problems including heart, kidney and liver disease and urinary and digestive tract conditions. Ultrasonography also provides accurate pregnancy diagnosis.
Liss
A warm welcome awaits you at Liss. The recently refurbished surgery has a light and airy feel. The computerised consulting room is well equipped. Any patients requiring further investigations are sent to our Petersfield surgery.
