Nurses
Kate our head nurse started working here in 1995 when she was 17. She qualified in 1998 and became head nurse in 1999 with a team of five nurses, which has now grown to ten nurses between two surgeries! She married in 2002 and had her son Jacob in 2005 and daughter Maisie in 2008.
Kate now works part time as spending time with Jacob and Maisie is important to her, she manages to still carry out her head nurse role with the help of our nurse manager, Claire, and the rest of the team when she is not here.  Her spare time is spent with her family and any other time is spent with friends and the odd bit of exercise if she can manage it!
Claire is Nurse Manager and has been nursing for approximately 6 years, after studying Animal Care and Animal Management at Sparsholt College. She has successfully completed her Level 1 NVQ Veterinary Nursing, and hopes to study animal behaviour at a later date. She enjoys her job because it gives her great satisfaction. Her hobbies are socialising and exercising.
Amy has been nursing for 4 years and completed her nursing qualifications in the summer of 2008. She has two dogs Wally and Badger. Lives for the weekends when she can shop, socialise with friends and attempts to keep fit.
Kailee has been here since 2003 and is currently waiting to take her practical exam later in the year, which is her final step in becoming a fully qualified veterinary nurse.  Kailee also has a National Diploma in Animal Management. In her spare time she enjoys socialising and catching up with friends.
Laura B is our animal nursing assistant and has been with us 6 years. She has recently given birth to a little girl and is on maternity leave.
Our Supporting Staff - 1
Our veterinary surgeons are supported and assisted by qualified and trainee veterinary nurses and the practice maintains the high standards which are required to be recognised as an official veterinary nurse training centre by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Initial client care is in the hands of our team of dedicated receptionists all of whom specialise in this role, and both clinical and reception staff are supported by the Practice Manager and Business Manager.
