Nurse clinic consultations

A consultation with a veterinary nurse can be booked between 3pm – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. The consultation will last around 10 minutes depending on the reason for attending the clinic. The veterinary nurses at St Peter’s Veterinary Group provide many services, as listed below:

  • General health check
  • Ear cleaning
  • Nail clipping
  • Administer wormers
  • Administer flea preparations
  • Dental examinations / demonstrate brushing your pets’ teeth
  • Administer microchip

(charges apply for medication and certain services)

Also included is advice on any of the following:

  • Nutrition
  • Neutering
  • Vaccination
  • Flea control
  • Worming
  • Dental care
  • Weight

Tablets

Do you have problems giving your pet tablets?
Do you put off giving worming treatments to avoid stress (and possibly the scars)?
Well, let our nurses take the strain! They will attempt to give any tablet or application to your pet in the surgery – just let us know what they need.

8 Plus clinic

Animals age faster than we do and so, when your pet turns 8 years old things start to change and their lifestyles have to change too. Come to our 8 plus clinic for free advice on nutrition, medical conditions such as arthritis, kidney disease, dental disease and other factors that may affect our older more mature companions.

Microchipping

Animals disappear, they stray, get lost, may be involved in an accident or are even stolen. A small microchip can be painlessly injected into your pet’s neck and will provide permanent identification. So, if your pet should go missing, once found, the chip can be read using a scanner and you can be reunited.
